Watch: Red Velvet’s Wendy Adorably Tries Arm Wrestling With INFINITE’s Sunggyu

Red Velvet appeared on the February 24 episode of “Singderella” as the first guest after INFINITE’s Sunggyu joined the show.

When the hosts asked Wendy who she would pick out of the four MCs if she were to be stuck in an island with him, she picked INFINITE’s Sunggyu.

Wendy explained why, saying, “It’s because I don’t know much about him yet.”

Her interaction with Sunggyu continued later in the show when she was debating what to show as her talent. After thinking, she decided, “Arm wrestle?” and picked Sunggyu as her opponent.

Sunggyu told her, “I took boxing lessons when I was young,” and demonstrated a few moves. Hilariously, Wendy imitated his moves right after and received more compliments from the hosts.

Sunggyu let her arm wrestle with her left arm, which she claimed had more strength.

When the arm wrestle began, Sunggyu smiled and said he wasn’t sure if he should let her win or not. The MCs teased him saying that he’s stalling time to continue holding hands with Wendy, which he didn’t actually deny.

After letting his arm fall a bit to her side, Sunggyu smiled and easily won the arm wrestle.

Afterwards, Wendy became worried that her nails made marks on his hand. The other hosts became envious of her attention and asked her to look at their hand, too.

It will be painful to get used to the new name, but we can only pray that we all get used to it soon. Please support Highlight.”

Lee Gi Kwang didn’t post any picture, but captioned a black photo, “The name that we have carried for so long, ‘BEAST.’ It was a name that stuck by us through it all and made us happy but it’s time to let it go. 3 Times Idols May Have Been Hurt By Fans’ Insensitive Comments

Although it’s an unfortunate truth that idols are the target of many haters, sometimes idols can be hurt even by comments from their fans.

Recently an issue that arose at Cosmic Girls’ fan meeting on February 19 has gained traction online. At the fan meeting, someone told member Eunseo that she resembled Zlatan Ibrahimovic, a soccer player for Manchester United.

Eunseo reportedly showed signs of tears afterwards and the fan meeting was briefly halted.

At a previous fan meeting on February 7, a similar incident occurred, with a fan suddenly shouting to Eunseo, “Aren’t you Zlatan?” When Eunseo expressed confusion, the fan explained that she looked like Zlatan, which made many of the fans in attendance laugh.

Similarly insensitive comments have been directed at TWICE. In one clip of what appears to be a fan meeting, the girls were answering a question about which sports would suit each member when one fan shouted to Jihyo, “Weightlifting.” Reportedly, he kept shouting it at her even when the other girls tried to move on.

The clip also includes the end of another or possibly the same fan meeting, where Tzuyu was getting ready to say her goodbyes like the other members. However, one fan shouted at her, “Don’t talk. Shut your mouth.” Eventually Tzuyu handed over the mic to someone else.

Said fan explained his actions later, saying that he said it out of regret that the fan meeting had to end.

What do you think about comments like these? Were these fans crossing a line?
